In moments of joy, you’ll find many around you,
but in moments of sadness, you’ll find only a few — the noble ones among those who were once there.
As days go by,
you may forget those who shared your happiness, but you’ll never forget those who shared your pain — the one who supported you when you were about to fall, who mended you when a part of you was broken, who patted your shoulder and pushed you forward with all his strength, who couldn’t rest because you couldn’t.
That same person later forgot what they had done for you, not because it didn’t matter, but because they never expected anything in return — their kindness was a part of who they are, a natural reaction from a genuine soul.
Yet, the truth remains: among all those people — the kind and the noble — no one will lift you up but you.
No one will pull you out of sadness, misery, or despair unless you decide to rise.
And no one can make you truly feel joy or live the beauty of the moment unless it’s a decision that comes from within you.
Don’t wait for someone who will certainly never come to pour happiness into your heart.
How can one fill a closed vessel without its owner opening it first?
Don’t wait for someone to rescue you from the storms that life or your own choices may have drowned you in — unless you first reach out your own hand to grab theirs and swim toward life.
Hold on to your moments of happiness; know that they will only multiply and return through your will, your touch, and your unique spirit.
Hold on to the remnants of hope, don’t abandon them in your weakest hours — for who among us doesn’t face them?
Let the light of positivity that still lives within you rise again; it may be your saving grace when life’s collapse comes unannounced.
That collapse whose sound no one hears but you, whose impact no one feels but you.
No matter how much others try to make you happy — if you are empty inside, their efforts will only echo as faint sounds around you.
They may sing the melodies of happiness, but within you, all you hear is the echo of sadness.
Even when they try to comfort you, you might find seeds of hope in their words,
but unless you choose to plant and nurture them, they will wither — like a sip of cold water that soothes you for a moment under the summer sun, only to vanish with the next wave of heat and thirst.
Water the seeds of hope within yourself, by yourself.
Scatter them in the hearts of others, for maybe one of them will bloom and bring life to someone’s present and future — and you’ll be the one who threw the seed, while they cared and made it grow.
Be that person for everyone, if you can —
but don’t expect anyone to be that person for you, for such souls exist...
but they are extremely rare.
